Anos, Los Baños, Laguna – On November 11, 2023, Radyo Kalusugan, the Philippines’ pioneering multi-platform radio station dedicated to health, environment, business, leadership, developmental news, and classic music, conducted a monumental medical mission in Anos, Los Baños, Laguna. This initiative provided complimentary medicines and check-ups to an estimated 800 individuals, including children, the elderly, the sick, and those unable to afford medical care.
Established in March 2021 amid the pandemic by Roy Bato, President of IBS Media Group, and Dr. Allan Landrito, Radyo Kalusugan emerged as Asia’s premier health-focused radio station. Its mission is to make vital information accessible to the public anytime, anywhere, across various platforms.
The recent medical mission in Anos underscores the critical importance of free medical initiatives in underserved communities. Access to healthcare remains a pressing issue, and Radyo Kalusugan’s efforts have been instrumental in bridging this gap. Since its inception, the station has reached over 8,000 individuals through its free medical missions, reflecting a steadfast commitment to societal well-being.
These missions not only address immediate health concerns but also foster a culture of health awareness and preventive care. By offering free consultations, treatments, and preventive care, Radyo Kalusugan empowers communities to take charge of their health, leading to improved quality of life and reduced healthcare disparities.
